Barbara Humpton serves as senior vice president of business development for Siemens Government Technologies where she is responsible for bringing the capabilities of Siemens Corp. in energy, infrastructure and healthcare to meet the needs of the federal government.
Prior to joining the Arlington, Va.-based subsidiary, Humpton served as VP at Booz Allen Hamilton, leading its technology consulting business with the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security.
In this role, she was responsible for the technology strategy and she led the firm’s investments in biometrics and mobile computing.
The 30-year industry veteran spent the first ten years of her career at IBM Federal Systems Company, which was acquired by Loral Corp.
After two years, Loral was acquired by Lockheed Martin where Humpton rose to the position of VP responsible for biometrics programs, border and transportation security and critical infrastructure protection, including such programs as the FBI’s next generation identification and the TSA’s transportation workers’ identification credential.
She received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Wake Forest University.
