Executive Profile: Sherry Charles, AT&T Government Solutions VP of Federal Sales

Sherry Charles

Sherry Charles serves as vice president of federal sales at AT&T Government Solutions, where she leads a team which specializes in providing network-enabled, mobile and professional services offerings for civilian agencies.

In this role, she focuses on information technology offerings that satisfy cybersecurity, networking, mobility, mission support and applications requirements.

Sherry most recently served as the VP of business marketing where she developed and executed marketing strategies supporting enterprise, wholesale and public sector clients.

In a prior role, Sherry was VP of AT&T wholesale marketing where she was responsible for all marketing activities in support of a double-digit billion dollar business, serving carrier, wireless, cable, ISP and systems integrator customers.

She designed and implemented offerings to address the resale, network and operational needs of service provider customers.

Prior to joining AT&T in April of 2002, Sherry was the director of portfolio strategy and planning for Concert Communications where she was responsible for defining and executing Concert’s global data and IP product strategy.

Earlier in her career, Charles held leadership positions at Amerada Hess Corp in Houston, Texas, and Texaco, Inc., in New Orleans, Louisiana supporting joint ventures.

Sherry earned a B.S. degree in Finance from Louisiana State University and has been a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Virginia since 1994.
