GovCon Executive Covers Partner of the Year Awards

GovConExecutive logoPartnerships between government contracting companies have become a widespread method of attracting government contracts as opportunities have begun to dwindle.

Larger company’s present their very best partners with “Partner of the Year” awards in order to recognize their important contribution to the completion of work.

GovCon Executive covers these awards because they illustrate not only a growing trend in industry but company’s that  exceed expectations in partnering relationships.

Earlier this month, Iron Bow won three awards from Cisco including the Commercial U.S. / Canada East Data Center Partner of the Year, Public Sector Data Center Partner of the Year and U.S. Data Center Partner of the Year.

According to the article, Iron Bow won the awards for delivering technologies for the deployment of data center projects and growing its data center practice by 167 percent.

In other news, World Wide Technology was named 2012 EMC National Partner of the Year and the inaugural VCE Partner of the Year for North America.

Accenture was an SAP partner of the year finalist for co-innovation in database and technology and service expansion. 

In the same award ceremony in May, Accenture won Pinnacle awards in cloud co-innovation and system integration categories for growing their collaboration with SAP and helping customers achieve business goals.

In another June award announcement, Global Technology Resources won Citrix’s “Public Sector Partner of the Year” award for 2012, recognizing revenues GTRI generated as part of a collaborative trades program with Citrix.

The two companies partner on virtualization products that promote mobility in business processes.

Finally, Centurylink subsidiary Saavis was awarded VMware’s service provider partner of the year in the Americas region.

Saavis uses a VMware cloud offering in its cloud product line.
