MITRE’s Al Grasso Recognized as STEM Leader by STEMconnector

Al GrassoAl Grasso, MITRE Corp.’s president and CEO, has been named to STEMconnector’s “100 CEO Leaders in STEM” list based on his commitment to the advancement of science technology engineering and math activities.

According to a MITRE statement, participates in a number of STEM programs including the National GEM Consortium, an annual Young Women in Engineering Day, the Nanotechnology Student Program and a teacher externship program.

“As business leaders, we have a responsibility to encourage employees to share their time and expertise to foster STEM excellence. Our collective efforts advance the nation’s competitiveness,” Grasso said.

The list features CEO profiles and views on the need for a diverse STEM workforce.

The CEOs also discuss technology, innovation, public-private partnerships, diversity, global competitiveness and scalability.

CEOs from Google, GE and Johnson & Johnson were also included on the list.
