Neustar CTO Mark Bregman Joins FCC Technological Advisory Council

Mark BregmanNeustar senior vice president and chief technology officer, has been appointed to the Federal Communications Commission‘s Technological Advisory Council.

The council is responsible for helping the FCC identify technology innovations and developing policies that aim to support job creation and economic competitiveness in the country, Neustar said Thursday.

“Neustar’s expertise in numbering databases, network resiliency and cybersecurity will offer insights into the important issues that the TAC will be considering in the months ahead,” Bregman said.

“I’m honored to have been selected to join the FCC’s Technological Advisory Council and I look forward to contributing to the Council’s work during this exciting time of unprecedented technological transition in the communications sector,” he added.

Bregman served as executive VP and CTO at Symantec prior to joining Neustar in 2011

He also served as product operations VP at Veritas Corp. prior to that company’s 2005 merger with Symantec, led mobile content marketplace AirMedia as CEO and held a 16-year career at IBM.
