NetApp logo_EbizPeter Howard, NetApp‘s vice president of global channel sales, has succeeded Todd Palmer as the company’s channel head, CRN reported Monday.

Joseph Kovar writes Palmer, formerly VP of American channels, joined network traffic recording and sniffing vendor Endace in May.

Howard will aim to help NetApp manage its indirect channels, which account for 80 percent of the company’s sales, according to CRN.

“I’m excited to see him in that new role,” Mark Teter, chief technology officer at NetApp partner Advanced Systems Group, told CRN.

Kovar writes NetApp aims to drive its flash storage technology, intending to build on its FlashRay architecture for block and file storage.
