SAIC-LogoSAIC is among 15 firms set to compete for a potential $900 million multiple award contract for the U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic to provide electronics and communications services for the decision superiority portfolio.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract runs for 12 months and has four one-year extension options for works to take place in Charleston, S.C. and international locations such as the Middle East, SAIC said Wednesday.

The McLean, Va.-based firm intends to provide services on command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance enhancement activities for the mission capabilities of the SSC Atlantic.

Tom Watson, SAIC customer group senior vice president, said the company will work to apply its knowledge of life-cycle support on research and development activities for the organization’s C5ISR operations.

The DS portfolio of SSC Atlantic focuses on the improvement of systems and applications that influence decision-making processes of the U.S. Navy.
