TASC Wins Veteran-Owned Business Support Award; Daphne Hill Comments

TASCTASC has received the Champion of Veteran Enterprise Award from the National Veteran Small Business Coalition for subcontracting services to small businesses owned by veterans.

The company topped federal goals for subcontract work involving veteran-owned small businesses by 18 percent in 2012, TASC said Monday.

“At TASC, we believe smart teaming is an essential business strategy,” said Daphne Hill, TASC small business liaison officer.

Hill added that a goal of the company is to support the capabilities of veterans and enable them to continue their public service.

Additionally, TASC exceeded the mandated goals for awarding subcontracts to service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses by seven percent.

TASC has held the recognition every year since 2010 and has mentored and provided subcontracting opportunities to more than 300 small businesses within the last three years.
