ARINC to Deploy Operational Flexibility Tech at South Korea Airport

Arinc logoARINC Inc. has won a contract to deploy its airport check-in operations technology at South Korea’s Jeju International Airport for the airport’s cost-cutting and operational flexibility efforts.

The company’s vMUSE technology will provide the airport with virtualized servers that will reduce checkin hardware and support requirements, ARINC said Monday.

“ARINC’s vMUSE will enable carriers to directly log into their departure control system at any counter over any device,” an Airlines Operators Committee of Jeju representative said.

Michael diGeorge, ARINC Asia Pacific managing director, said vMUSE uses aviation technology to address facility space, self-service options and enhanced passenger experience.

It is also deployed in the country’s airports in Incheon and Gimpo.
