Noblis has won a position on a five-year, $236 million contract covering technical support services to the Department of Homeland Security‘s science and technology directorate.

DHS seeks assistance to develop, test and evaluate operational systems as well as manage staff training and improve emergency response capabilities, Noblis said Tuesday.

The nonprofit research corporation is one of three awardees on the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (click here for a full list of winners on GovCon Wire).

Drew Cohen, Noblis vice president for national security and intelligence, said the directorate is responsible for providing new technologies to DHS components and first responders.

“Noblis is at its roots a science and technology company, as the leader of our national security business, the success of DHS S&T’s mission was so important that I personally assumed the program management position on this program,” Cohen added.

Diana Fossett, a Noblis team coordinator, said the corporation’s team for the contract includes other nonprofit organizations, academic institutions and large and small businesses.
