Duanne Pinnix Attends RMF-Engineered Lab Unveiling in England

Duanne PinnixRMF CEO and president, attended a May 23 ceremony to unveil a medical facility in Cambridge, England, that the company helped developed.

He was part of the engineering team that worked to provide the Medical Research Council’s molecular biology laboratory with facilities that utilize sustainable energy for operations, according to RMF.

At a 2012 conference held upon completion of the seven-year project, Pinnix said works enabled the structure to minimize carbon emissions by 1,766 tons annually.

Environment-friendly features of the laboratory include an all-glass facade, air-conditioning with chilled beams and heat recovery systems, and controllers for lighting and energy use.

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh led the official inauguration of the building in May.
