Eads-logo1A non-profit entity of an EADS division is working with two French non-government institutions for outreach programs that aim to utilize resources in the aeronautics sector.

The Eurocopter Corporate Foundation will help Acting for Life start this month a three-year initiative that aims to curb poverty and promote economic growth in a Mexican mountain range, EADS said Wednesday.

The Castel Mauboussin Association will also get support for personnel training on the new European Aviation Safety Agency-mandated helicopter emergency medical service.

Eurocopter President and CEO Guillaume Faury said the first two partnerships of Eurocopter Corporate Foundation are meant to represent its commitments to “promote youth development and help disadvantaged people and communities.”

According to EADS, the organization was founded last year in a move to increase the involvement of the aeronautics industry in humanitarian causes.

The Eurocopter Corporate Foundation intends to provide financial assistance to three disabled trainees of Castel Mauboussin to start in September.

Acting for Life also aims to reach out to undeveloped areas in Mexico through its community development initiative.
