International SOS has acquired ISO 9001:2008 certification for its 27 medical and security support centers that attend to customers from 76 countries.
The global assistance network formed an alliance with the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems in 2010 with an aim to validate its operations via the accreditation, International SOS said July 8.
“International SOS is delighted to have secured this hugely respected certification,” said David Johnson, group director of operations, adding, “We see this as a key step in our development of a group-wide, comprehensive and total quality management program across our assistance operations.”
The ISO global auditor of quality management systems looks into the quality and consistency of an enterprise’s service delivery, organization and operations.
