James Haley Veterans Hospital Opens Vocational Program Facility; Bill Lawson Comments

Paralyzed Veterans of AmericaA hospital in Tampa, Fla. has partnered with Paralyzed Veterans of America to open a facility that will provide veterans with access to a vocational program to find new careers and reenter the workforce.

James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital  is the seventh location for the nationwide Operation Paving Access for Veterans Employment program, Paralyzed Veterans of America said Friday.

Operation PAVE will provide veterans in the Tampa, Fla. area with free training, job counseling, education, placement assistance and employment opportunities.

“Through Operation PAVE, we hope to reach these veterans, place them with employers who are looking to hire veterans and cut the unemployment rate among veterans,” said Bill Lawson, national president of Paralyzed Veterans of America.

James A. Haley Veterans Hospital and the Paralyzed Veterans of America also partnered with Agility Defense & Government Services Inc. for the Tampa PAVE center.

Agility Defense & Government Services Inc. held fund raising programs to fund the new center.
