Julie Hens Appointed Cisco Worldwide Distribution VP

Cisco-LogoJulie Hens, formerly head of Cisco’s distribution business in the Americas, has been appointed vice president of worldwide distribution.

She succeeds Scott Brown, who now serves as VP of the company’s partner business group in the Asia-Pacific, Japan and Greater China region, according to a Wednesday blog post by Cisco’s Edison Peres.

Hens will manage global sales, supply chains and inventories and also oversee corporate governance and compliance in her new role.

The 14-year company veteran helped the Americas distribution group achieve its first billion-dollar quarter in July 2010, Peres writes.

Hens also co-chairs the Silicon Valley Civic Council and serves on the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives.
