NASA, Boeing to Host Media Viewing Event for Commercial Space Capsule

BoeingLogoBoeing has invited members of the media to see a full-scale mockup of the company’s Crew Space Transportation-100 capsule and witness NASA‘s crew carry out live flight suit evaluations inside the spacecraft.

The media event is scheduled for July 22 at 10:30 a.m Central Time at Boeing’s product support center in Houston, NASA announced Tuesday.

NASA works with Boeing and two other aerospace companies under the Commercial Crew Program, intended to provide commercial and government clients with human spaceflight services.

Government and company leaders scheduled to attend the event include:

  • Kathy Lueders, deputy manager of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program
  • John Elbon, Boeing vice president of space exploration
  • John Mulholland, Boeing vice president and program manager for commercial programs
  • Chris Ferguson, Boeing director of crew and mission operations
