Aimee Kennedy Joins Battelle as VP of Education and STEM; Jeff Wadsworth Comments

battelle - ExecutiveMosaicAimee Kennedy, principal and chief academic officer at the Metro School, has joined Battelle as vice president of education and STEM learning.

Kennedy will report to President and CEO Jeff Wadsworth and be responsible for Battelle’s STEM education programs that focus on standards of excellence, STEM learning networks, workforce development and education innovation, Battelle said Tuesday.

Wadsworth said Kennedy will leverage her education leadership background and hands-on classroom experience in order to help spread STEM to schools in Ohio.

She has served as assistant principal and classroom teacher at the Metro, an Ohio STEM learning network system based on The Ohio State University campus.

Kennedy started teaching at The Freshman Academy in Canton City Schools, where she held the team lead, English department chair, and literacy specialist roles at its Freshmen Academy and McKinley Senior High School.

Battelle co-founded the Metro School.
