Donna Ryan - CGI, ExecutiveMosaicCGI Federal holds a position on a $6 billion blanket purchase agreement to provide continuous monitoring as a service to the Department of Homeland Security.

Work under the five-year contract vehicle includes information technology services intended to secure public sector shared networks and help to use diagnostic and mitigation tools against cyber attacks, CGI said Wednesday.

“In today’s world of shared government networks, continuous monitoring as a service represents an important and timely piece of the security puzzle for federal government agency clients,” said Donna Ryan, president of CGI Federal.

“In a time when cyber attacks are a true social and economic threat, government agencies need to be assured that their security posture is not just continuously monitored but adapting to ever-changing risks,” Ryan added.

CGI said clients can use to use their own security tools, those on CGI’s cloud environment or a combination of both.

More than 20 federal agencies could use IT network security services available under the DHS contract vehicle, according to the company.
