CH2M Hill’s Brad Starkey on WEF Safety Award for Fort Campbell Plant Mgmt

CH2MhillCH2M Hill will accept an award from the Water Environment Federation for its safe management of a military facility in the state of Kentucky.

The company operates the wastewater treatment plant at Fort Campbell that has not had recordable injuries based on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s standards in five years and five months, CH2M Hill said Friday.

“We are extremely proud to be recognized by WEF for our commitment to the Fort Campbell safety program,” said Brad Starkey, CH2M Hill’s Government Facilities & Infrastructure Business Group director of health, safety and environment.

“Making sure our team works safe and returns home at the end of each workday uninjured is a priority for us,” Starkey added.

CH2M Hill has 36 employees who have served some 380,000 work hours at the Fort Campbell plant where the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division is stationed.

The WEF Safety Award, to be presented during the organization’s annual conference this October, recognizes firms that seek to ensure the safety and quality of their water-related initiatives.
