George Campbell Named Louis Berger VP of Transportation; Connie Crawford Comments

Louis-Berger-GroupGeorge Campbell, a public and private sector veteran, has been appointed vice president of the transportation engineering business at The Louis Berger Group.

In his new role, Campbell will oversee public-private partnership and design-build projects nationally as well as support transportation business development in the northeastern U.S., Louis Berger said Tuesday.

He will be based out of the company’s offices in Needham, Mass., and Portland, Maine.

“George has a proven record of creating large public-private partnerships and will serve as a strong complement to our existing design-build and P3 practice,” said Connie Crawford, senior vice president of Louis Berger’s transportation business unit.

Campbell served as as the transportation commissioner in the states of Maine and New Hampshire, where he led infrastructure innovations such as the state’s high-speed tolling system.

His work in the private sector included managing $100 million to $500 million expansion projects for companies such as General Dynamics, L.L. Bean and Nestle.
