Jennifer Felix Approaches One Year as Sotera Defense Solutions EVP, CFO

Jennifer FelixJennifer Felix joined Sotera Defense Solutions in September 2012 as the Herdon, Va.-based government contractor’s executive vice president and chief financial officer “to navigate the complex and dynamic national security market as part of a sustained company push to grow revenues to more than $500 million,” then president and CEO John Hillen Said.

Felix joined the firm with more than 20 years experience in the government services and technology finance, including controller roles at Vangent and Deltek.

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants member and University of Maryland graduate stayed on with General Dynamics’s IS&T business segment after helping close the sale of Vangent to General Dynamics while serving as Vangent’s vice president and corporate controller.

She was in charge of all of the $11 billion segment’s mergers and acquisitions activity.

Felix earlier led Deltek through an initial public offering after building and directing its accounting and finance support functions as vice president of finance.

She spent eight years of her earlier career working with technology company’s at Deloitte prior to centralizing American Management Systems’ finance operations into a single unit.
