John Drayton Joins VMware as NZ Country Manager

VMwareLogoJohn Drayton has been appointed to lead VMware operations in New Zealand and will oversee the company’s government and financial services offerings, Reseller New Zealand reported Tuesday.

The 23-year industry veteran recently served as a Southern regional sales manager at Hewlett-Packard and succeeds Tim Dacombe-Bird who joined Amazon Web Services as regional sales manager.

Drayton will report directly to Duncan Bennet, VMware vice president and ANZ general manager.

Prior to joining HP, Drayton held roles at companies such as Computer Associates, Equant, PeopleSoft and Oracle.
