Theo Priestley Becomes Software AG Chief Evangelist, VP; Darren Roos Comments

Software AGTheo Priestley, an information technology analyst and owner of IT Redux blog, has been appointed chief evangelist and vice president of Software AG.

He will work to apply his industry background to explore business trends as well as support the company’s initiatives intended to promote various enterprise data solutions, Software AG said Monday.

“Enterprises are trailing their digitally savvy new employees and customers in grasping the new business opportunities just waiting to be picked,” said Darren Roos, Software AG executive board member, adding, “I am therefore delighted that Theo has come onboard to help identify these opportunities.”

Priestley will collaborate with an expert group  to provide clients and customers with relevant information about the advantages of innovative platforms such as big data, cloud computing and other business integration technologies.

“I want to draw out what all the trends really mean for organizations today, where they’ll lead if they embark on such a journey and how Software AG can enable their business along the way,” Priestley said.

According to Software AG, Priestley will continue to run his own blog and remain a contributor to other corporate and IT websites.
