SAIC-Logo_ExecutiveBiz1Science Applications International Corp. will compete for task orders under a potential five-year, $900 million contract covering cybersecurity equipment and services for the U.S. Navy.

The cost-plus-fixed-fee, multiple-award contract awarded by Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic contains one base year and four option years, the company said Tuesday.

Tom Watson, senior vice president of SAIC’s Navy and Marine Corps group, said the company will work to equip SSC Atlantic with information technology platforms for cybersecurity and combat missions.

SSC Atlantic intends for awardees to help develop enterprise information services, space and information operations capabilities related to C5ISR (command, control, communication, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance).
