CSC has won a position in a potential $6 billion multiple award contract from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that seeks technical support to strengthen the government’s cybersecurity capabilities.
The company aims to offer its Horizon enterprise platform comprised of monitoring-as-a-service tools that work to analyze, detect and intercept malicious applications that could damage virtual networks, CSC said Thursday.
DHS selected 15 contractors for the one-year blanket purchase agreement with four 12-month options that was awarded in the second quarter of the 2014 fiscal year.
“Complex government networks require advanced solutions that can provide broad threat detection while meeting constantly evolving requirements,” said Samuel Visner, CSC global cybersecurity vice president and general manager.
A goal of CSC is to “help the government take advantage of the best cybersecurity solutions and services on the market today,” Visner added.
