KCG Earns Cardholder Data Security Assessor Designation; Maryann Hirsch Comments

security keysKnowledge Consulting Group has been authorized by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council to perform compliance audits in establishments that process, store and transmit sensitive cardholder information.

The council requires that merchants and service providers comply with information security controls intended to protect clients’ payment data, KCG said Monday.

“We are committed to meeting the data security needs of our clients,” said Maryann Hirsch, KCG president.

American Express, Visa Inc., Mastercard Worldwide, Discover Financial Services and JCB International support the PCI data security standard.

DSS includes policies on software design, network architecture, security management and other data protection measures, KCG says.
