Lockheed Martin hosted an event Thursday to acknowledge the contributions of U.K.-based suppliers to the F-35 program at the Defense Supplies and Equipment International trade show in London.
U.K. Minister of Defense Equipment, Support and Technology Philip Dunne joined representatives of 13 British businesses that attended the event, Lockheed said Thursday.
Steve O’Bryan, Lockheed vice president of F-35 business development, said U.K. suppliers will produce 15 percent of each F-35 jet, totaling 3,100 planes.
British aerospace and defense companies that were recognized include:

- Selex ES Ltd.
- Survitec Group
- Ultra Electronics
- UTC Aerospace Systems
