NASA Recognizes ASRC Federal Employee with Award; Paul Dillahay Comments

Paul Dillahay - ASRC, ExecutiveMosaicGuy Cordier, an employee of ASRC Federal Space and Defense, was awarded by NASA with the Distinguished Public Service Medal, the agency’s highest honor awarded to non-government workers.

During Cordier’s 45-year career at NASA Goddard, he has helped the agency in the areas of data capture, processing and delivery of science technologies, ASRC said Thursday.

Cordier is a Joint Polar Satellite System command, control and communications system architect.

Most recently, he led a team that redesigned a ground-station-to-science data processing system in one year that provided NASA with higher data rates.

“We congratulate Guy on this prestigious award and appreciate his dedicated service to NASA and its missions,” said Paul Dillahay, ASRC Federal president and CEO.

The system is expected to expedite weather products generation for the National Oceanic and  Atmospheric Administration.

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden presented the award to Cordier at the NASA headquarters and Goddard Space Flight Center.
