Northrop to Co-Host UMD Cyber Honors Program

Northrop Grumman will co-host a four-year honors program at the University of Maryland for undergraduates pursuing education in the cybersecurity field.

UMD and the company will officially launch the Advanced Cybersecurity Experience for Students on Sept. 25 at College Park, Northrop said Wednesday.

ACES is intended to give students hands-on learning experiences, an interdisciplinary curriculum, collaborative projects and access to industry and business leaders.

Fifty-seven students will be in the inaugural ACES phase.

Wes Bush, Northrop CEO, UMD President Wallace Loh and UMD Chancellor William Kirwan will give remarks at the launching event.
