Shawna Matre, an assistant safety and occupational health professional at Concurrent Technologies Corp., has passed examinations and met the requirements to become a certified safety professional.
She will work to oversee risk management and loss mitigation programs at a corporate level, CTC said Sept. 13.
Matre, who joined CTC three years ago and became a certified occupational health and safety technologist in 2012, presently supports the Pentagon’s safety management center of excellence.
CTC says the 13-member Board of Certified Safety Professionals determines the competency and proficiency standards for the accreditation.
