Andrew Del Matto Named Interim Symantec CFO as James Beer Steps Down

Andrew Del Matto, Symantec senior vice president and chief accounting officer, has been appointed chief financial officer on an acting basis until the company appoints a permanent CFO.

The move comes as James Beer, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Symantec, has been appointed CFO at McKesson Corp., Symantec said Monday.

Del Matto joined the company eight years ago and has served as corporate treasurer and vice president of finance business operations, where he led corporate financial planning and analysis and revenue operations.

Before joining Symentec, he held senior finance leadership roles with Inktomi Corp. and SGI Corp.

He started his career as a certified public accountant in public accounting with KPMG.
