As a member of the Value of Water Coalition, CH2M will help the coalition educate U.S. residents on the importance and issues surrounding the country’s water infrastructure, CH2M announced Wednesday.
Value of Water Coalition has also recently launched a website that “will leverage content-generation and social sharing” that will feature the latest news and information about the water sector’s issues.
The site will contain infographics, slide decks and videos.
The coalition, composed of representatives from water services and technology companies, city water utilities and non-profit water associations, will host its new campaign at TheValueofWater.org.
“Unfortunately, the adage ‘out of sight, out of mind’ rings all too true in this case. However, our experience is that once people fully understand the extent of the challenge we all face and its potential impacts, they’ll be more likely to support solutions,” said Elisa Speranza, CH2M Hill’s president of Operations Management Business Group.
CH2M said that the country needs $1.3 trillion in repairs and upgrades on the water infrastructure for the continued delivery of safe and clean drinking water.
