Contractors Adopt New Tactics to Lure Cyber Talent

Sarah Halzack writes employers are facing tougher competition for workers with up-to-date technical skills as commercial and government clients focus heavily on cybersecurity projects.

Foreground Security acquired training services provider Cyberspann to establish a university that offers short information security courses for interns and entry-level employees, according to the report.

Reston, Va-based Leidos has invested in advertisements, email newsletters, social media and partnerships with schools to lure talent, the Post reports.

At Computer Sciences Corp., employees are allowed to attend professional development events such as brown bag seminars and townhall meetings as well as take up extracurricular activities that can help improve cyber knowledge, Halzack writes.
