Serco Inc., the British services contractor’s U.S. arm, will compete with 14 other companies to provide information technology services to the Department of Homeland Security under a potential seven-year, $22 billion contract vehicle.

The unrestricted track of the EAGLE II vehicle’s functional category one covers work to design, implement, integrate and maintain IT systems for DHS, Serco announced Tuesday.

Ed Casey, president and CEO of Serco Inc., said the subsidiary aims to grow its presence in DHS through EAGLE II and continue its two decades of IT services to federal agencies.

Casey is moving into a new role in December at Serco Group Plc, the parent company of Serco Inc. (click here for GovCon Wire’s coverage of his transition and successor).

EAGLE II is for a five-year base period and two option years.
