Lockheed Reviews Past Year’s Cyber Projects; Charles Croom Comments

Lockheed-Martin-BlueLockheed Martin has reviewed its cybersecurity projects over the past 12 months and its offerings for federal agencies.

According to Charles Croom, vice president of cyber security solutions for Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions, the company worked over the past year to give customers tools to protect information and systems for national security.

The company’s intelligence-driven defense strategies are intended to develop solutions in collaboration with the world’s top information technology companies through the Lockheed Martin Cyber Security Alliance, which has reached 19 members since it was founded four years ago.

“Because October is national Cyber Security Awareness Month, it is an important time to recognize that cyber threats are among the most challenging global securities issues we face,” Croom said.

“At Lockheed Martin, we not only focus on reducing and managing current risks to our systems and those of our customers, but we also anticipate the cyber threats of tomorrow.”

Several of the company’s wins in federal IT in recent years include a spot on the Defense Information Systems Agency‘s Global Systems Management project and a deal to provide technical, functional and managerial services for the Defense Department‘s Cyber Crime Center.

It has also provided cross-domain products to the General Services Administration, partnered with Fixmo to develop a secure authenticator for mobile consumers, and hosted a Cyber Defense Exercise in cooperation with NASA and the National Security Agency.
