QinetiQ North America’s TALON Robot Reaches 30 Countries

qinetiqA robot QinetiQ North America developed for use by military and public safety organizations has been deployed in 30 countries.

Some of the U.S. allies that have deployed the TALON robot include Canada, Japan and some countries in South America, QNA announced Monday.

QNA is working to expand the worldwide availability of the TALON robot in regions such as central Europe, where Czech Republic and Poland are acquiring the technology.

TALON is used for remote reconnaissance, improvised explosive device detection and explosive ordnance disposal mission support.

According to the company, TALONs have helped to defeat more than 30,000 improvised explosive devices in Iraq.
