Raytheon Brings Student Math, Science Outreach to Middle East; William Swanson Comments

Raytheon-logoRaytheon is expanding the reach of its math and science education outreach program for students to the Middle East.

The company will jumpstart the MatheMovesU program expansion with an exhibit for MathAlive! at the Abu Dhabi Science Festival on Nov. 14, the company announced Tuesday.

Raytheon will also debut The Little Engineer curriculum in Saudi Arabia as part of its Engineering is Elemantary program.

“By expanding MathAlive! and Engineering is Elementary to the Gulf Region, we hope to inspire young students to pursue exciting and rewarding careers,” said William Swanson, Raytheon chairman and CEO.

Raytheon will work with the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee for the MathAlive event and the  Museum of Science, Boston and the pan-Arab educational organization Injaz for the Engineering is Elementary program.

“We all share a goal of providing our youth with the education and skills to thrive in a global innovation economy,” Swanson said.
