Serco Holds Spot on $4B Army Comm Systems IDIQ; Ed Casey Comments

Ed Casey - Serco, ExecutiveMosaic

Serco Inc. is one of the 12 companies that will compete for task orders under the U.S. Army‘s potential, five-year $4.1 billion communications contract vehicle awarded in September.

The Communications and Transmission Systems contract covers design, procurement, installation and testing services for the Army’s mission-critical communication systems, Serco said Monday.

“Serco looks forward to supporting the U.S. Army and our warfighters with global communication system solutions,” said Ed Casey, Serco chairman and CEO.

“We stand ready to meet their needs under this mission-critical contract.”

The British contractor’s subsidiary intends to use its engineering, lifecycle management and operations and maintenance experience to compete for orders.

Serco holds positions on other communication system contracts with the Air Force and Navy.
