Two Healthcare Orgs Implement Optum Subsidiary’s Analytics Platform

Optum logoHealthcare organizations located in St. Louis and in Minnesota’s Twin Cities region are using an Optum subsidiary’s clinical analytics platform for their population health management and accountable care strategies.

St. Louis-based Mercy is the country’s sixth-largest Catholic healthcare system and HealthEast is the largest healthcare organization located in the Minneapolis-St. Paul east metropolitan area, Optum announced Monday.

Mercy, which has 32 hospitals and 1,700 physicians, uses Humedica‘s system to manage its health governance structure for 3 million patients in four states.

HealthEast, which comprises of four hospitals with 1,500 physicians, implemented the platform analyze data from several clinical and administrative sources to manage treatment for patients that have chronic illnesses.
