DLA Selects SAIC for Post-Sandy Relief Award; Linda Messano Comments

SAIC-Logo_ExecutiveBiz1Science Applications International Corp. has been selected for the Defense Logistics Agency‘s Business Alliance Award in recognition of the company’s work to support relief efforts after Hurricane Sandy.

SAIC employees worked to source, lease and ship power generators to a U.S. Navy facility in Lakehurst, N.J. after the storm under the federal government’s Prime Vender Maintenance, Repair, and Operations contract, SAIC said Thurdsay.

“We have proudly supported DLA’s mission for more than 30 years and our team’s response to Hurricane Sandy was indicative of our dedication to that mission,” said Linda Messano, an SAIC group senior vice president.

DLA gives the Business Alliance Award to individuals, customers and industry partners who help the agency provide equipment and services to U.S. warfighters.
