LexisNexis’ CounselLink business has achieved a safe harbor certification for data privacy compliance.
Cloud-based software provider CounselLink earned the certification for meeting international standards on gathering and managing sensitive information, LexisNexis said Wednesday.
Jonah Paransky, vice president and managing director at the CounselLink business, said the Safe Harbor certification helps to step up the company’s initiative to deliver services to customers worldwide.
“We currently support global organizations in multiple countries around the world and this certification not only ensures we are in compliance but also supports the compliance efforts of our clients,” Paransky adds.
The Safe Harbor standards are meant to require companies to notify clients before collecting their personal data, allow users to opt out and resolve disputes.
