Lockheed Reps to Talk at Energy Sector Cyber Forum; Chandra McMahon Comments

Lockheed-Martin-BlueLockheed Martin cyber professionals will discuss online threats and defense methods for oil and gas companies at the American Petroleum Institute Cyber Security conference to be held in Houston from Nov. 12 to Nov.13.

Members of Lockheed’s commercial cybersecurity unit will talk about intelligence-driven defense, which is intended to locate potential threats on intellectual property and operations data and to guard information, Lockheed said Wednesday.

Chandra McMahon, vice president of commercial markets at Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions, said Intelligence Driven Defense is designed to take a proactive stance to address and protect essential infrastructure and operations against new security threats.

Nicole Powell, cyber solution engineer at Lockheed Martin, and Angela Haun, Houston InfraGard chapter coordinator and special agent for the FBI, will present “Understanding and Dealing with a Perpetual State of Breach.”

George Ressopoulos, senior security consultant at Lockheed, will discuss the cyber threat horizon and Jim Pruitt, Lockheed manager of cybersecurity professional services, will discuss how industrial control systems can use intelligence-driven defense.
