Microsoft to Help Run African Youth Skills Program; Mteto Nyati Comments

MicrosoftLogo - ExecutiveMosaicMicrosoft has partnered with African business incubators in a move aimed at helping developers and startup businesses in the region expand their skills, Capital FM reported Friday.

Ken Macaria writes Microsoft will collaborate with Nigeria-based CcHUB, Tanzania-based DTBi and the AfriLabs network to help startups and developer communities access skills development programs, software tools, capital investments and international outreach opportunities using Microsoft technologies.

Mteto Nyati, vice chair of the 4Afrika Advisory Council and managing director of Microsoft South Africa, told the publication Microsoft aims for the collaboration to extend services to Africa’s youth, developers and entrepreneurs.

The partnership is part of the Microsoft 4Afrika Initiative project, according to the report.
