MITRE Employees Win STEM Leadership Awards at Women of Color Conference; Karen Quinn-Quintin Comments

Mitre logoFour female employees at MITRE Corp. have received awards at the 2013 Women of Color STEM Conference for their leadership and technical achievements, according to a company statement.

Salwa Abdul-Rauf and Camille Shiotsuki were named Technology All-Stars and Shweta Mulcare and Kappu Ramasubramanian won awards for the Technology Rising Star category.

“It is critical for the future of our country that we develop the next generation of STEM professionals, and these four women are making a significant difference in that effort,” said Karen Quinn-Quintin, vice president and chief human resources officer at MITRE.

“They do this not only in their day-to-day work for our sponsors, but also in the leadership roles they play within their communities,” she added.

The conference was held in Dallas from October 17-19.
