northrop-Grumman_BLUENorthrop Grumman will present new healthcare technologies and service offerings at the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting and Exposition Saturday through Wednesday in Boston.

Company health information technology representatives will give eight presentations on public health services and health care informatics at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, Northrop said Thursday.

Sam Shekar, Northrop chief medical officer, and Alexis Sulyma, public health director for health IT programs, will present six of those panels on Monday.

“Northrop Grumman leverages its vast expertise and capabilities in data collection and management, analytics and decision support to develop solutions that improve health outcomes at all levels,” Shekar said.

The first session will feature topics on using nontraditional community information for food safety, combining social media with health practices and integrating IT into public health.

Northrop will also demonstrate an analytical tool for monitoring and assessing accountable care organizations, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services‘ Physician Feedback Program and value-based payment modifier and how clinical coding systems work in healthcare.
