State, Commerce Depts Adopt Responsive Website Design

Website-Under-Construction_EMSmartphone users will have a new-look State Department mobile website following tweaks made by the agency, Federal Times reported Tuesday.

The updated site uses responsive web design approach that automatically detects the display specifications of the inquiring phone, according to the report.

The site also includes information on press briefings, foreign policy, State Secretary John Kerry’s activities, among others.

The Commerce Department has also updated its website, Beta.Commerce.gov, to include the same technology plus new functions in its search and navigation features, Fedscoop reports.
