Arinc logoARINC and Maryland’s Anne Arundel County Public School System are working together to educate high school students about unmanned aerial systems under a science, technology, engineering and math program.

Rolf Stefani, senior director of ARINC’s technology innovation center, co-authored and is co-teaching the UAS class in the county’s STEM Magnet schools, ARINC said Wednesday.

“Our goal is to use innovative ways to teach highly complex subject matter that has applications in the real world,” Stefani said.

“Being based in Maryland, we feel like it is part of our corporate responsibility to support our schools wherever and whenever we can,” said John Belcher, ARINC chairman and CEO.

The company also donated cash to provide the school district’s UAS class with equipment and supplies.
