A 25-year systems and software engineering veteran, Mel Greer serves as a senior fellow and chief strategist of service oriented architecture and cloud computing at Lockheed Martin.
The certified enterprise architect also serves as a fellow and adjunct faculty at the FEAC Institute and a fellow of the World Bank/ International Monetary Fund’s Bretton Woods committee.
Greer is also a professor and lecturer at both the University of Puerto Rico’s College of Engineering and at the George Mason University’s International Cyber Center.
He has authored three books on information technology and is a member of the SOA Consortium, Object Management Group, OASIS advisory board and Cloud Security Alliance advisory board.
Additionally, he serves as the vice chairman of the Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium’s cloud computing working group.
Greer holds both master’s degree in information systems and bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and technology from American University, as well as a post-graduate certificate in executive leadership from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School.
