IBM will host Kasbah Systems Software‘s integrated educational administration and management system through the Softlayer cloud service, IBM said Tuesday.

Kasbah Systems’ Genius UMS platform is built to provide university administrators, faculty and students access to web-based information services.

“Indian educational system is undergoing transformation and is at the forefront of adopting new technologies to impart better education,” said S. Rajiv, Kasbah Systems Software executive director.

Vamsicharan Mudiam, country manager of cloud solutions at IBM India South Asia, said the company aims for clients to address computing challenges by using cloud technology.

IBM says the Kasbah technology works to help users analyze and monitor attendance, examination and assessment data in real time and is designed to integrate with public and private cloud models.
