Jacobs Engineering Completes $1.1B Acquisition of Sinclair Knight Merz

Jacobs - ExecutiveMosaicJacobs Engineering has completed an approximately $1.1 billion acquisition of Sinclair Knight Merz, an Australia-based professional services company.

As part of the deal, Sinclair’s 6,900 employees will join Jacobs Engineering, the company said Thursday.

“The combination of Jacobs and SKM further diversifies our geographic offerings and the end-markets we serve,” said Craig Martin, Jacobs Engineering president and CEO.

“We look forward to integrating the two companies and see many excellent opportunities ahead to support our clients, develop our people, and grow our business,” he added.

Sinclair offers consulting, construction management, engineering, scientific and architecture services to companies in Australia, Asia, South America and the United Kingdom, according to Jacobs.

Sinclair’s 2013 revenue was about $1.2 billion.
